My name is Lauran Stanis and I am a musical theatre dance professional living, working, and playing in Phoenix, AZ. By day I am a high school dance teacher in a public school, and my extra curricular activities are in the theatrical community!
I like to joke that I am a retired performer, but I still bust out my tap shoes from time to time. I have found great joy being on the other side of the table collaborating on the production process and sweating in the studio with developing dancers. Teaching and choreographing have become my priorities.
I am a life-long learner and have an addiction to education! I still regularly take class and I'm always seeking out new certifications and professional development opportunities. I love taking this new learning back to my students or into the creative process!
My husband Rob and I have two tuxedo cats named Statler & Waldorf. My favorite color is Sparkles! And I have over a three year long streak on Duolingo learning Spanish, French, and German!
